The molecular photophysics team – Jennifer Noble and Jordan Dezalay – are part of the H2M group of the PIIM laboratory.
We study the photophysical properties of aromatic molecules in various charge states, ranging from neutral molecules to (de-)hydrogenated neutral radicals via (de-)protonated ions, with our molecular beam and cryogenic ion trapping experimental setups.

Symposium on the Elucidation of solvation effects on molecular recognition
Marseille, France. 20th-27th of October 2024
We are delighted to be hosting the second symposium of the international Core to Core program “Elucidation of solvation effects on molecular recognition” in Marseille in October 2024.
This JSPS Core-to-Core Program is co-ordinated by ISHIUCHI Shun-ichi from Tokyo Institute of Technology and includes partners from Japan, Germany, France and the USA. More information about the project can be found here:

The second symposium of the program will be held in Marseille, France from the 20th to the 27th of October 2024. This meeting is by invitation only. The program includes presentations, poster sessions, discussion panels and lab tours. It will be available online soon.
