As part of their 9th grade classroom observation internship, five interns had the opportunity to discover the activities of the PIIM laboratory from December 12 to 19.

The program included a tour of the site, an introduction to the laboratory’s activities and observation of the various professions, a presentation of the experiments, and, above all, fruitful exchanges with researchers, teacher-researchers, and research support staff.

To conclude this week of discovery, the interns had the chance to participate in a fun activity with the board game Limit, designed by Alexandre Poyé, research engineer and head of the laboratory’s scientific computing and IT team. Through this game, the interns discovered another form of system modeling via board games for an understanding that goes beyond mathematics. Here, the Limit game models the world and modern geopolitics.

This immersion was rich in learning and discovery, allowing the young people to better understand the world of scientific research. For some, this week confirmed their desire to explore this universe further and to project themselves into future scientific careers.
