Historically based on the study of molecules trapped low-temperature matrix of rare gas, our team continue this activity for the characterization of photo-induced processes in hydrogen-bonded systems. She extended her studies to ice surfaces of astrophysical interest and more generally to the study of the formation of molecules in the interstellar medium. She developed another investigation in the field of plasma wall interaction for controlled magnetic fusion, by modeling or characterizing materials of interest for ITER.

The team activities are experimental and theoretical. For the experimental side, many diagnostics such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman microscopy, UV spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, electron microscopy, the adsorption isotherm measurement ... are used. In the theoretical side, modeling quantum computation is addressed both by structural calculations (molecular or periodic DFT) and dynamics calculations (method of spreading wave packets).
